Two days and counting
Two days and counting until Alec and I fly to Brussels, Belgium. Alec's last day of
grade three ends June 6 at noon. Jeff will drive us to Greensboro, N.C. where Alec
and I will board our plane to Brussels, Belgium. Our friends Rachel and Gilles will
retrieve us and drive us to Metz, France, our home away from home for two months.
As Jeff says, "someone has to stay home and work," which he will for the month of
June, joining us at the beginning of July.
Jeff: "Jude, here is the scenario. Your plane touches down in Brussels and your first
thought is?"
Jude: "Is it too early for beer?
Jeff: "Let's try again.
Jeff: "Alec, you arrive in Brussels and your first thought is?"
Alec: "Chocolate."
Jeff: "Wrong. How about, I wish dad was here."
Jude and
Alec " Oh, of course, we will be thinking of you while Jude drinks a Belgium beer
and Alec eats chocolate."
